Since my first blog, I can say my confidence in writing went from 10% to 80%. Learning how to write better has definitely been accomplished in this class. For I still have a lot to learn and I will be taking English 1-B (I think it's the next class up). Throughout this class, I have evolved. My writing has evolved. I have learned to identify the purpose of my writing. I have learned to always ask myself "what am i trying to prove'? What is the argument? Writing my last research paper, I was nervous. Taking step by step directions from the teacher was very helpful. They say I say book for writing and learning how to phrase things has been very helpful. The rhetorical triangle has been so helpful. The speaker, audience, and message have helped me communicate better and understand how to communicate. Today I, Lori Kuma, wrote a research paper. I would never have been as motivated if I didn't have an English teacher who was so encouraging. (and I am not just saying that) My professor is so involved and literally walking me through it at my last conference. I was so embarrassed with my rough draft. The information was there but it was just so mumbled jumbled. The assignments my professor gave us has taught me how to write a better research paper. Like I said I was not happy with my rough draft. But I am so happy with how my revised paper came out! On to the FINAL.
