Lori Kuma 8/28/20 Blog 2     This week in English I am learning about online classes. I am learning how to do my work online rather than in class and how to submit the work. I am learning about Canvas and each day is something new. Sometimes their will be glitches but we will get through them. I have never set up a blog before so this is the first time. I learned this week how to connect with my classmates through online learning. I learned new vocabulary words. I read an essay about words and how they get their meanings from other words depending on how you use it in a sentence. I learned how to take a quote and relate it to myself.  I learned that my English teacher is very attentive and seems like he wants to help me and that gives me the confidence to want to stay in class. Even though I am doubting myself big time right now. Thank-you! The reading was a little difficult to understand. It was a hard reading assignment. 

          Lori Kuma Journal 1 8/26/20 My name is Lori Kuma. I am 34 years olds. I work two jobs for the school district and as a waitress. Work might interfere with my zoom meetings. I have a 8 year old daughter. Some of my concerns about entering this class is I have NEVER wrote a paper or an essay. In highschool I just did not do them. I am extremely nervous about this class but I will try my hardest. English has always been a struggle for me. I am very excited to learn how to write an essay. How to organize my thoughts and find the words to use to put together the essay. I always have to google just to get ideas on what to write. I can't ever figure out how to put together my own words without getting ideas from google. Its like my mind is blank. It doesn't work when trying to write papers and trying to write at all.
